The store exists because our 611 Friends choose to share what they have. Donated clothing, household goods, everyday essentials, and food provided by Evanston Community Fridges are made available at no cost, helping meet real needs while keeping useful resources in circulation.
We're rooted in mutual aid. Many of the people who shop here also volunteer, donate, attend events, and help sustain the space. Everyone has something to contribute, and everyone is welcome to be a 611 Friend.

We know our shopping appointments fill up fast, so we're excited to introduce a new way for first-time shoppers to access the 611 Free Store.
If you've never shopped at 611 before, you can now sign up through our New Shopper form. We've reserved appointments each month just for people visiting us for the first time.
If you've shopped at 611 before, please continue using our regular shopping sign-up form.
One shopping appointment is allowed per household, and households may shop once every 30 days.
