Hello 611 Friends,
We're opening our doors for donation drop-offs this Saturday and Sunday, and we could really use your help stocking our shelves!
With November right around the corner, we're preparing for the holiday season and looking ahead to the needs of the households who shop and volunteer at Six Eleven. This time of year can put extra pressure on household budgets, and we want to head into the season ready to offer some relief.
In a typical month, we can go through more than 600 essential items alone. Add pantry staples to the mix, and keeping our shelves stocked takes a steady flow of contributions.
Our teens will also be in the building this weekend for Teen Sorting Weekend, helping us sort and organize the store. If you've been meaning to drop off a donation, this is a great time to stop by while they're here helping us get ready for the months ahead.
What we need most right now:
Pantry staples
Black pepper
Cooking oil
Coffee and coffee filters
White rice
Dried beans
Pasta and pasta sauce
Household essentials
Dish soap
Toilet paper
Paper towels
Laundry detergent
Aluminum foil
Paper plates
Kleenex
Please note that we're not accepting any summer gear or books at this time. We're focusing on the items we need most to prepare for the season ahead.
Drop-off hours:
Saturday, October 24, 10 AM–5 PM
Sunday, October 25, 10 AM–5 PM
Thank you for keeping Six Eleven stocked and helping us head into the holidays prepared to support the people who count on us. Every contribution helps us put everyday necessities within reach.
