No. We don't ask for proof of income or documentation. It is up to you to decide whether 611 is a resource you need.

Yes. All Free Store shopping is by appointment.

Appointments help us create a calm shopping experience, prevent overcrowding, and ensure every household has time and space to shop.

Each shopping appointment includes:

• Free Store shopping - everyone gets a 611 bag to shop with, plus one large item that doesn't fit in the bag, one piece of jewelry, one purse or bag, and two pairs of shoes

• One electronic per family

• Up to four household essentials per family

• Food choices including protein, vegetables, fruit, a starch, and pantry staples

Selections vary based on current contributions and availability.

Households may shop once every 30 days. Volunteers receive additional access to shopping opportunities.

Free store shopping and volunteer appointments are limited, and every missed appointment means another household loses the opportunity to shop.

If you do not show up or cancel with less than 24 hours' notice, your current and future appointments will be canceled. You will lose access to both shopping and volunteering for the rest of the current month and the following month.

Our hours change from month to month so we can offer different opportunities to shop, volunteer, contribute, and participate at times that work for different schedules.

We want people to be able to find a way into 611, whether that's during a shopping appointment, a volunteer shift, an event, or a contribution drop-off.

If the shopping schedule doesn't work for you, check the volunteer schedule or upcoming events. There may be another way to be part of 611 that fits your schedule.

We accept clean, new and like-new clothing, household goods, home decor, pantry staples, toiletries, toys, games, art supplies, and other everyday essentials. If one person can safely carry it through our door, we will most likely take it.

No. We are unable to accept furniture or oversized items.

Donations are accepted only during scheduled drop-off hours.

Our hours change every month to create shopping, volunteer, and donation opportunities that work for people with different schedules and availability.

For everyone's safety, please do not leave donations outside our doors. Unattended donations create a safety hazard, may block entrances, and can be damaged by weather before volunteers are able to bring them inside.

No. We'll show you around at the beginning of your shift. Before signing up, please read the role description carefully and choose a position you can complete. Each role has different responsibilities, physical requirements, and time commitments.

Volunteer opportunities vary by role. Each role has its own schedule, responsibilities, and requirements, so please read the full description before signing up to make sure the opportunity is a good fit and that you can complete the required tasks.

Most roles are for adults. Youth opportunities are available through designated Event Support roles.

Yes! Teens can volunteer through designated Event Support opportunities.

Yes. 611 Collective is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Contributions are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
