That's a wrap on our October hours!!
A few updates as we head into November:
November volunteer calendar is LIVE!
Volunteer sign-ups are officially open. Sign up to volunteer during shopping and you'll get early access to shopping appointments. It's a great way to lend a hand and get first dibs on your own shopping time.
A quick reminder about clothing donations:
We're still on a clothing pause at 611 and are only accepting men's casual clothing (jeans, tees, and sweats). While we've finally managed to open the door to our main sorting room again, we still have items stored in TWO other rooms. We're making progress, but there's work to do!
A big thank you for keeping our shelves stocked!
Your generous donations have helped us fill some much-needed gaps in our pantry and essentials room. Every dollar really does count. Your contributions help keep our doors open, food on the shelves, and essentials in shoppers' bags. If you're able, please consider making a donation today.
The 2nd Annual Holiday Meal Box Drive is underway!
And our 611 friends are already showing up. Thank you!
Last year, this initiative happened before anyone even knew what 611 was. We had an idea, a whole lot of determination, and you all showed up. In just a few short days, we were able to provide more than 70 holiday meals. Let's do it again!
We're partnering with Evanston Community Fridges, with refrigerators and deep freezers standing by. We're ready to make it happen!
And one final thing...
December 1st marks our ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY!
Unbelievable. One whole year of 611. We're still figuring out exactly how we're going to celebrate, but we know this milestone deserves a proper moment. More on that soon!
